Dear Supporters: While the world seems to be coming to a halt, our clients are still experiencing domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, and other dangerous circumstances. We are continuing to provide legal and support services to our existing clients and will shortly begin offering Domestic Violence Call-In Clinics to offer legal advice, emotional support, and targeted referrals to domestic violence victims, caregivers of at-risk children, and other vulnerable victims in the District. We need your support now more than ever. Our annual benefit raises nearly one-third of our budget; without it our clients will suffer. At this point, Gala 2020 — with honorees, Congresswoman Katie Porter, Brenda Russell, Pfizer, and King & Spalding LLP — is still scheduled for April 30 at the Four Seasons but we are monitoring the situation closely.
