Internships
Volunteer Legal Advocates offers part-time undergraduate and part- or full-time legal internships in DC and Montgomery County, MD. Interns work alongside staff and volunteers to help end the cycle of violence for survivors and children through pro bono legal aid. Whether you’re attending court hearings, supporting a legal clinic, or assisting with client cases, you’ll gain hands-on experience and mentorship from dedicated attorneys working on the frontlines of justice. Fellowships
Volunteer Legal Advocates offers full-time legal fellowships for recent law graduates and early-career attorneys committed to advancing justice for survivors and children.
We also proudly host the Roxana Cannon Arsht Law Fellowship, established by Adrienne Arsht to honor her mother’s groundbreaking achievements as Delaware’s fifth female lawyer and first female judge. We are honored to recognize Judge Arsht’s pioneering spirit and enduring legacy through this two-year program empowering female attorneys returning to the workforce after a career break.
Fellows work alongside our experienced attorneys to represent clients in domestic violence, family law, child advocacy, and immigration matters—gaining courtroom experience, direct client interaction, and ongoing mentorship.
